With the ongoing pandemic, Yonge & Merton Dental has implemented safety protocols to keep yourself and our staff safe. Here is what to expect before coming to your appointment and during your appointment:
- You will be screened for COVID-19 before your appointment either by phone or by e-mail. Please make sure to check your e-mail appointment reminders for the screening questionnaire.
- You will also be screened again when you arrive for your appointment
- If you have any flu-like symptoms (cough, runny nose, sore throat, fever, loss of taste/smell, vomiting, diarrhea), or have been exposed to anyone that has tested positive for COVID-19 please don’t come to your appointment and we can re-schedule at no charge. You can be seen for your appointment 24 hours after improvement of your symptoms (or 48 hours after if you had nausea, vomiting, diarrhea)
- To minimize the number of people in the waiting room, please ring the doorbell and wait for a staff member to answer the door first before coming in
- Masks must be worn in the office except when getting treatment. All staff wear full PPE during treatment
- Hand sanitizers are available to disinfect your hands before entering the treatment room and before leaving the treatment room
- The treatment rooms are enclosed, and medical grade air purifiers with HEPA filters run at all times during and after treatment
- Appointments are spaced out between patients to help with physical distancing and disinfection of treatment rooms
